More than an average cooking class
Absolutely fantastic class. A very informative trip to the very real local market. The class is in the family home and I learnt so much about the Balinese family life. That’s before the cooking starts !
Booklet to help at home and very good instructions to the preparation and cooking.
The end result was awesome and has spoilt me for the food I have will the restaurants.
If you do any cooking class in Bali it has to be this one.
A very interesting & enlightening cooking encounter
Chef Nyoman Mahendra was very explicit in his explanation about the spices used & the Balinese cooking methods. The cooking experience was held in a well-designed immaculate kitchen that can accommodate comfortably up to 12 pax. Kitchen was situated in a typical Balinese extended family enclosure with the family temple in the centre surrounded by the extended family.
A great authentic Balinese culinary experience!
Nyoman was the perfect host whilst giving us a great cooking experience in Ubud. The local market was fascinating to see and having our cooking class in the family home was certainly a great way to experience the Balinese culture. Top marks to my driver Yoga for his Balinese knowledge!! Suksema!!!
