Didn’t expect the calming soundtrack of the ocean at Melasti Beach intertwined with lazy, cheerful song from the Beach Club. Celebrating our anniversary here felt personal, not hurried—rarely have we felt so left to soak everything in. The private stops between cliff explorations in Uluwatu with our driver, Putu, who has evidently lived all the shortcuts, meant we got the best light for photos, too. And just a minor yet welcome point: no shop detours; our time was admirably our own.

Sitting with my partner as the sunset edged out in crimsons made that slow easy drive worth it (thanks to Nyoman, who’s got not just routes but timing dialed right). We hopped cliffs at Uluwatu next and it's something we'll replay long after this trip. Truly nice to have not a single shopping stop forced in; the day was all slow pleasures and lanky views.

Had a chilled-out day with my partner watching waves, sneaking in some good eats at the beach club, and soaking up ridiculous cliffside beauty at Uluwatu. Not a single unwanted shopping spot found us (which, let's admit, rarely happens in Bali). Needed nothing more appliances than great scenery and lazy afternoon vibes.

By far one of my favorite picks in Bali, these cliffs at Uluwatu just stunned me the higher I walked. Traveling through solo (and on a budget), grabbing an affordable snack at the beach club felt more chill than scene-y. Shoutout to Surya who’d casually drop tips about little photo spots – and driving without random shop pit-stops? Much appreciated but not overstated. All round, never felt hurried, and escaped with some unexpected sunset moments.

A slow morning lounging at the beach club with coffee before heading over to Uluwatu’s cliffs really set a relaxed mood. Bagus, our driver, was so chill—not once felt rushed, and, happily, there were zero random store stops. Solid chilled-out day.
