Kicking back among friends for a bachelorette surprise, every moment felt roomy and unhurried, and big props to Bagus for figuring out the sunset schedule so causally. Added bonus: zero distracting shopping stops—no forced souvenir detours, just uninterrupted vibe-gazing. 10/10 would do it all over in the heartbeat of a dacebeat.

Honestly, wrangling kids at the crack of dawn isn’t usually fun, but the allure of Melasti Beach’s sand (and a classy swim-up in the beach club) shut down the grumbling pretty fast. Uluwatu's clifftop views even managed to impress our youngest, who'd usually rather count ants. Giant plus for us: no random shopping stops mentally tested our patience—thank goodness. Our driver Agus was chilled all day and slipped us some great tips on which spots wouldn’t feel too crowded. Biggest shock—the grownups felt as relaxed as the kids.
