KertaGosa

Located in the heart of Semarapura Town, Kertagosa is one of beautiful historical sites in Bali. In the ancient times, this place is used to announce important news, such as Judicial Legislation, punishment, etc by the king. Actually, KertaGosa is not stand alone, but KertaGosa is part of the PuriSemarapura royal palace. It features two main structures, first, a grand hall named Bale KertaGosa with ceilings filled with Kamasan or wayang-style paintings, and second, the Bale Kambang ‘floating hall’ (Bale Kambang is surrounded by the pond).
